Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 30-bed ICU, including neuro and surgical ICU populations.
• Monitor and interpret invasive hemodynamic values (CO/CI/SVV/CVP/SvO2) to guide treatment decisions.
• Manage patients on mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/AVAPS, and various oxygen delivery methods.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications to maintain hemodynamic stability.
• Assist with bedside procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and cardioversion.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care for stroke, cardiac, and post-surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license verified through Nursys.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and DCI/BVP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience (preferred).
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
• Experience with CRRT, CABG, stroke, and TNK therapy.
• Comfortable floating between ICU units as needed.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in high-acuity settings.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records.
• In-depth knowledge of invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.
• Skilled in ventilator management and weaning protocols.
• Understanding of neuro and cardiac surgical patient care.
• Ability to manage complex medication infusions and titrations.
