Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
• Communicate with physicians about clinical changes, diagnostic results, and treatment responses
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching, ensuring they understand care plans
• Maintain high standards of care in the Telemetry Unit and collaborate with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry expertise
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and physicians
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition
• Ventilator management knowledge (preferred)
