Shift Type: Multiple day shift options: 4 x 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 5 x 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, plus 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Assist in life-saving STEMI and stroke interventions as part of the on-call team.
• Monitor patient hemodynamics, vitals, and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.
• Administer medications and contrast agents safely, watching for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, technologists, and the care team to ensure positive outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all equipment is ready and functioning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verified)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification
• Experience in Cath Lab or interventional cardiology preferred
• Comfortable with 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage
• Ability to complete required screenings and health history (COVID-19 vaccine, drug screen, TB test, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
• Understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and pressure waveforms
• Skilled in emergency response and rapid critical thinking
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with contrast administration and radiation safety
• Compassionate patient and family education
