Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to newborns in a Level 2 NICU
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of NICU nurses and NNPs to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in neonatal status
• Assist with procedures such as umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, and circumcision
• Support parents and families through education and emotional encouragement
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (CPN and Meditech)
• Stabilize and transport neonates as needed
• Participate in unit-based initiatives and standards of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Colorado or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent NICU acute care experience
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Infant resuscitation experience is a must
• Level 2 NICU experience required
• Level 3/4 NICU, Eat Sleep Console, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal assessment and critical care
• Proficiency with CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Strong skills in infant resuscitation and stabilization
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Compassion for supporting families during challenging times
