Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of infection control
- Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed, providing accurate diagnostic support
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering long-term dental health
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care
- Provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients, easing any anxiety about dental visits
Qualifications
- Completion of a dental assisting program and certification as a Dental Assistant
- Valid X-ray certification and CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in orthodontics is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
