Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to promote optimal oral health
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
• Take and develop dental x-rays while adhering to safety protocols
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and operatory areas

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Previous dental hygiene experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental software and patient recordkeeping
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Empathetic approach to patient education and care
