Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgeries, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during a variety of procedures including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, ortho, and trauma
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia during operations
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Skill level 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular cases
• Broad surgical knowledge across multiple service lines
• Experience with Cerner documentation
• Ability to take call and work a variable schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Broad surgical knowledge in general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
• Proficient with Cerner electronic health records
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
