Shift Type: Day shift, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (may extend based on case load), rotating weekends and holidays, on-call rotations (1 night every 2 weeks, 1 weekend every 6 weeks), with 4x10 or 3x12 shift options available.

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrument trays for a variety of procedures, including open heart and orthopedic surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team during operations, passing instruments and supplies with precision and anticipation.
• Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and equipment is functioning properly before each case.
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Utilize EPIC EMR to accurately document surgical case details.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency surgeries.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a busy Operating Room
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification
• DCI/BVP certification
• Must be able to take call and work rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced OR environment
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
