Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist the interventional cardiology team during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly
• Provide post-procedure care and patient and family education on recovery and follow-up
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in code responses as needed
• Document all care and procedural details accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license verified through Nursys and License/Certificate Verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous Cath Lab or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and pick up call shifts as needed
• Completion of required competencies, skills checklist, and specialty exam

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to monitor and interpret hemodynamic data during procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
• Proficiency in documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in emergency situations
