Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

Qualifications

• Current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Illinois
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient speech therapy settings
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in evaluating and treating speech and language disorders
• Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention techniques
• Familiarity with documentation systems and rehabilitation care standards
• Ability to adapt to varying patient caseloads and settings
• Team collaboration and patient education skills
