Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, arterial, venous, and dialysis access studies
  • Prepare detailed preliminary reports for vascular surgeons with critical findings highlighted
  • Research patient history and review prior scans to identify significant changes
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace while delivering exceptional patient care
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of 7-12 providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience
  • Proficiency in scanning complex pathology and post-surgical patients
  • Experience with dialysis access grafts and fistulas preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expertise in ABI, carotid, upper and lower arterial/venous duplex studies
  • Strong understanding of aortoiliac, iliocaval, renal, and mesenteric imaging
  • Ability to recognize critical findings and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR and Sectra PACS systems
  • Skilled in pre-operative hemodialysis mapping and complex vascular assessments
