Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Respond to urgent situations with calm, evidence-based interventions
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to support positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Recent clinical experience as an RN, ideally in acute care or med-surg
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
- Proof of immunizations and any facility-required screenings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Comfort managing common overnight issues and urgent situations
