Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-family centered emergency care consistent with hospital and state standards
• Perform rapid, accurate assessments and prioritize care in high-acuity situations
• Develop and communicate clear care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency events and changes in patient condition
• Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Maine or authorization to practice pending endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BCLS required
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
• Minimum 2 years ED or acute care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
