Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition with accuracy and compassion
• Provide skilled nursing care for patients assigned to the MST unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Perform timely, accurate charting in the electronic health record
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support
• Respond effectively to acute changes and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for California or compact-state eligibility where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior acute care nursing experience preferred; per-diem or night-shift experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and safety practices
• Comfortable with EMR/EHR documentation and clinical workflows
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and manage patient load
