Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality radiation therapy using established treatment procedures
• Operate and maintain Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator equipment during treatments
• Administer 2D, 3D, IMRT, SBRT and SRS treatments according to individualized plans
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records in ARIA and ensure documentation integrity
• Provide clear patient education and compassionate support throughout the care journey
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists and multidisciplinary team members to optimize care
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and participate in quality assurance activities

Qualifications

• Current ARRT R.T.(T) credential required
• Able to obtain an unencumbered Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license in Radiation Therapy
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam and IMRT/SBRT/SRS treatments preferred
• One (1) year experience as a staff therapist preferred
• Strong patient communication skills and attention to documentation detail

Education

• ARRT R.T.(T) credential (required)
• Ability to obtain unencumbered OBMI license in Oregon (required)
• Healthcare Provider BLS (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with ARIA for treatment records and workflow
• Hands-on experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators
• Knowledge of radiation therapy techniques: IMRT, SBRT, SRS, 2D and 3D planning
• Understanding of treatment planning fundamentals and patient positioning
• Radiation safety principles and quality assurance processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
