Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, supporting comfort and dignity
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with kindness
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in patient status to nurses and care team members
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection-control practices
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification (California) — must be in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and routine patient care
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass any required background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
• Good observational skills and clinical judgement to report changes
• Teamwork, time management, and patient-focused communication
