Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered ICU nursing care during night shifts
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data, including hemodynamics and ventilator settings
• Initiate and manage evidence-based interventions to stabilize critically ill patients
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams and patients’ families about care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code response as needed
• Mentor and support colleagues, contributing to a collaborative ICU culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• ICU clinical experience preferred—confidence in caring for critically ill adults
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently at night
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced patient assessment and critical-care monitoring
• Ventilator management and arterial/central line care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Medication administration in high-acuity settings, including titration of drips
• Effective interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family communication
