Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient condition with accuracy
• Administer medications and manage titratable drips per protocols
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Respond promptly and effectively to codes and urgent situations
• Maintain meticulous charting and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification (required); ACLS strongly preferred
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred; comfort with high-acuity patients
• Demonstrated ability to work 12-hour night shifts and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
• Ventilator management and respiratory care fundamentals
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of invasive lines
• IV infusion pump management and titration of vasoactive medications
• Accurate, timely documentation and handoff communication
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
