Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in the patient record
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in California (required)
• Valid Basic Life Support CPR certification preferred or required by employer
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and comfort with hands-on caregiving
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records
• Time management, teamwork, and clear communication
