Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and use of assistive devices to reduce risk
• Document care delivered accurately and timely in patient records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment following facility protocols

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in California (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable with physical aspects of patient care and lifting/transfer assistance
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; active California CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
• Skill in documenting care and communicating observations to nursing staff
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to individual patient needs
• Familiarity with safety protocols for patient handling and fall prevention
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
