Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care during night shifts to promote safety and comfort
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal care with dignity and respect
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Support infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Build rapport with patients and families to create a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (state-certified) required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and be available for per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Successful background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• CNA certification (state-required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and safety protocols
• Comfort with documentation and electronic charting systems
• Ability to safely assist with patient transfers and mobility
• Infection control best practices and use of PPE
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
• Time management skills for efficient night-shift workflow
