Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
Adapt quickly to varying patient assignments in a resource pool setting

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent med-surg and telemetry experience
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to float to different units as needed
