Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU (MICU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reacting quickly to changes and escalating care as needed.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and a caring touch.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, and nurses to create and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families with empathy, helping them understand diagnoses, treatments, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• ICU or critical care experience is preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
