Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care on a cardiac progressive care and medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, responding quickly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following evidence-based protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license (must be currently active)
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• MOAB or CPI certification preferred, but not required
• Ability to work night shifts and provide holiday coverage as needed

Education

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in cardiac progressive care and medical-surgical nursing
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing patient and unit needs
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (Point Click)
