Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to patients
Assess patient respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Document patient assessments, treatments and outcomes accurately and timely
Participate in orientation and training activities to ensure consistent, excellent care

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT preferred)
State respiratory care licensure as required (or ability to obtain promptly)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications a plus
Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
Prior acute care or pediatric respiratory experience appreciated

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and protocols
Familiarity with ventilators, airway management and aerosol therapy
Comfortable documenting in electronic health record systems
Excellent infection control and safety practice awareness
Good critical thinking, prioritization and time management skills
