Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care and assessment for pediatric and adult patients
• Administer and manage ventilator support and airway therapies as ordered
• Perform patient monitoring, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Participate in orientation and training activities to maintain high standards of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain equipment, ensure proper infection control, and follow safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) — state licensure required or in progress
• Clinical experience in respiratory care (recent clinical practice preferred)
• Comfortable with ventilator management, aerosol therapy, and patient assessment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred

Education

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related clinical field (Bachelor’s preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ventilator modes, oxygen delivery systems, and airway management
• Ability to interpret blood gases and adjust respiratory interventions accordingly
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making
• Familiarity with infection control practices and respiratory equipment maintenance
• Team-oriented mindset with strong patient-centered care focus
