Shift Type: Rotating schedule, 4-hour shifts (exact start/end times vary); orientation required

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients' respiratory status and deliver appropriate respiratory treatments
Administer therapies and manage respiratory equipment with attention to safety
Collaborate closely with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Document patient assessments, treatments and progress clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
Participate in orientation and training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Active or eligible Missouri Respiratory Therapist license
CRT or RRT credential preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred
Prior clinical experience in respiratory care, hospital or acute care settings preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with respiratory equipment such as ventilators and airway devices
Knowledge of respiratory assessment and treatment modalities
Ability to follow protocols and deliver safe, evidence-based care
Comfortable with charting and clinical documentation
Strong patient advocacy and interpersonal skills
