Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients across the unit
Assess respiratory status and implement appropriate treatment plans
Operate, troubleshoot and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
Monitor patient response and adjust therapies in collaboration with clinicians
Document patient care accurately and communicate changes to the care team
Participate in unit-based teamwork to ensure safe, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) licensure (or ability to obtain Georgia licensure)
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications (ACLS) preferred
Clinical experience in acute care/critical care settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Working knowledge of ventilators, oxygen delivery systems and airway management
Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapies accordingly
Comfortable with electronic medical records and thorough documentation
Skilled at patient assessment, triage and prioritization in fast-paced settings
Collaborative approach to working with nurses, physicians and allied health staff
