Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and perform advanced ventilator care for adult and neonatal patients
• Deliver Level 3 NICU support including surfactant administration during deliveries as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot PB 840 and Draeger ventilators confidently and safely
• Provide high-quality adult critical care respiratory therapy interventions
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Adapt to variable patient ratios and pitch in across unit areas to maintain safe care

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as listed in the job profile)
• Experience in adult critical care and Level 3 NICU care (must-have per posting)
• Proven competence with ventilator management and surfactant administration
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and experience using PB 840 and Draeger ventilators
• Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work night shifts and occasional weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory care protocols
• Skill with neonatal respiratory interventions including surfactant delivery
• Experience using PB 840 and Draeger ventilator platforms
• Comfortable charting and clinical communication within Meditech
• Strong clinical judgment in fast-paced adult critical care and NICU settings
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability under variable patient ratios
