Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapy for patients with respiratory insufficiencies and chronic lung disease
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment, including Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral devices
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide interventions
• Deliver non-invasive support such as CPAP and BiPAP and manage nebulizer therapies
• Perform chest physiotherapy (CPT) and other standard respiratory procedures
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Respond to emergencies, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to a safe, patient-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Trauma experience (preferred)
• Experience with Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork and patient-focused communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• ABG collection and interpretation
• CPAP, BiPAP and non-invasive ventilation expertise
• Nebulizer therapy and medication administration knowledge
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) techniques
• Familiarity with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Documentation proficiency in Meditech
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
