Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a 36-bed med-surg telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and interpret EKGs as needed to keep patients safe
• Perform procedures such as wound care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), chest tube and Jackson-Pratt drain management, Foley insertions, and central line dressing changes
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Meditech Expanse
• Lead bedside shift reports and conduct hourly safety rounding to enhance patient experience
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and maintain patient ratios (typically 1:6, occasional 1:7 with surge)
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through personal connections and clear communication

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (current in the U.S.)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience with Med-Surg and telemetry preferred
• BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and basic EKG interpretation
• Comfortable performing wound care, drain management, Foley insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every-other-weekend and rotating holidays
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system preferred or required
