Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator parameters
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and prioritize interventions in fast-paced situations
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic record
• Mentor and support team members while promoting a culture of safety

Qualifications

• Current RN license (North Carolina) or compact RN license
• 2+ years of recent ICU or critical care experience
• BLS required; ACLS required or obtainable prior to start
• CCR N or other critical care certification preferred
• Comfortable with advanced cardiac life support, ventilator management, and vasoactive drips
• Reliable, professional, and able to thrive on overnight shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for critically ill patients
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Familiarity with arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Medication titration and infusion pump proficiency
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Effective teamwork in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Comfortable using common EHR systems for documentation
