Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across acute care settings
• Assess, monitor, and document patient respiratory status and response to therapy
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
• Manage and maintain mechanical ventilators and airway devices
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Active Iowa Respiratory Therapist license or ability to obtain before start
• Willingness to complete required competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass health screenings and 10-panel drug screen
