Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients across critical care units
• Manage mechanical ventilation and titrate ventilator settings using GE R860 and Draeger devices
• Provide transport ventilator support using Newport HT70 for safe patient moves
• Administer and monitor noninvasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy with V60, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory plans and improve patient outcomes
• Serve as a reliable resource during night shifts and assist with critical interventions as needed

Qualifications

• North Carolina Respiratory License required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in critical care
• NRP preferred but not required
• Comfortable working across adult, NICU, and pediatric service lines and floating to all critical care units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong expertise in mechanical ventilation and critical care respiratory management
• Experience with GE R860 adult ventilators and Draeger infant/peds ventilators
• Familiarity with Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 noninvasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow
• Proficient documentation and workflow in Cerner EMR
• Ability to manage high patient ratios and prioritize in acute settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments
