Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions using ventilators and oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and modify therapy as needed
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques, medications, and home care
• Respond quickly to emergency calls and provide life-saving respiratory support
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license with license verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• COVID-19 vaccination and annual influenza vaccine required
• Negative 2-step TB test or IGRA, plus documented immunity to MMR, hepatitis B, and varicella
• Pass a physical/health statement and fit test
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
