Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional respiratory care to patients across the unit
• Manage mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy for critically ill patients
• Assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapy license in Iowa or compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
• Proficiency in ventilator management and airway care
• Ability to interpret blood gases and other diagnostic tests
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
