Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care and life support to patients in acute care settings
• Assess and monitor patient respiratory status, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license (or ability to obtain before start)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Completion of facility-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Current health screenings and immunizations per hospital requirements
• Previous acute care experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
