Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ventilated patients using Servo I, Hamilton and similar ventilators to optimize respiratory support
• Perform ABG analysis and adjust therapies based on results to ensure patient stability
• Initiate and titrate CPAP/BiPAP and nebulizer treatments to relieve respiratory distress
• Provide chest physiotherapy and other airway clearance techniques to improve outcomes
• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and develop/tailor treatment plans
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to coordinate patient-centered care
• Participate in unit quality initiatives and contribute to a safe, efficient clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Comfortable and experienced with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by leadership
• Trauma experience is a plus and will be considered favorably
• Ability to work night shifts and function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management including Servo I and Hamilton ventilators
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpretation
• CPAP and BiPAP setup and management
• Nebulizer therapy administration and monitoring
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) and airway clearance techniques
• Comprehensive respiratory assessment and care planning
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record
