Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly escalate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligibility to obtain one
• Telemetry experience preferred; comfort with cardiac monitoring required
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or must obtain per facility policy
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Skilled in patient assessment and recognizing acute changes
• Familiarity with Meditech or common EMR systems a plus
• Comfortable with IV medication administration and titration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
