Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms to quickly identify and respond to changes in patient condition
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a 36-bed medical telemetry unit
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, efficient care and timely discharges
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately using Cerner and Tap-and-Go workflows
• Participate in patient observation (CPO) and use remote telemetry equipment and VC150s effectively
• Serve as a dependable team member on nights and contribute to maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
• Support unit policies and contribute to a positive, fast-paced work environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Telemetry experience with 2+ years of recent acute care telemetry nursing (required)
• CMSRN certification encouraged
• Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
• BSN preferred but not required

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and rhythm recognition
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and documentation workflows
• Experience with patient observation systems (CPO) and VC150 room setups
• Effective communication, teamwork, and time management in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize care, escalate concerns, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
