Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to a mixed caseload of medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
• Manage quick-turnaround short-stay patients with less than 24-hour lengths of stay
• Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurse, RNs, and CNAs
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Cerner

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
• At least 2 years of recent progressive care or telemetry experience
• Strong telemetry competency and ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Positive attitude and team-player mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records
• Ability to manage 1:5 to 1:6 patient ratios with varying acuity
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, quick-turnover environment
