Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pre-operative care to patients preparing for surgery
• Monitor and assess patients in Phase 2 recovery, ensuring safe transitions
• Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain efficient patient flow
• Administer medications and manage IVs with precision and care
• Educate patients and families about pre-op and post-op procedures

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op experience in a hospital setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in Meditech EMR is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with equipment like Pyxis, EKG machines, and bladder scanners
