Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate preoperative care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assess and prepare children for surgery, ensuring a calm and safe experience
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate families on preoperative procedures and what to expect
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Previous pediatric or perioperative experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and communication skills
• Knowledge of preoperative protocols and sterile techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills to support anxious families
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
