Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric patients for surgery with compassion and expertise
• Assess medical history and vital signs to ensure readiness
• Coordinate with surgical team for a smooth pre-operative process
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous pediatric or pre-op experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to comfort anxious children and their families
• Knowledge of pre-operative nursing procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
