Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric patients and their families for surgical procedures with compassion and expertise
• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments to ensure readiness for surgery
• Provide clear and reassuring education to patients and families about the surgical process
• Collaborate seamlessly with the surgical team to coordinate care
• Maintain a calm and safe environment, advocating for patient needs throughout the pre-op phase

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BSN preferred
• Previous experience in pre-operative or perioperative nursing
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
