Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex medical equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate and support families through challenging and emotional moments
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Respond quickly and confidently to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• PICU experience strongly preferred; pediatric critical care experience a plus
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Ability to provide safe, attentive care during 12-hour shifts
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of pediatric assessment and critical care principles
• Proficiency with ventilators, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, and other PICU equipment
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with children and families
• Experience documenting in electronic health records (EHR)
