Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor complex equipment
• Assess and continuously monitor patient vitals, recognizing subtle changes in condition
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate and support families during stressful and emotional times
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• A genuine passion for caring for children and supporting their families

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols
• Proficiency with IV pumps, ventilators, and monitoring equipment
• Strong communication and empathy for family-centered care
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Collaborative mindset with interdisciplinary teams
