Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions with precision
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Support and educate families during difficult times
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio or compact state
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required (or obtained within a specified timeframe)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of PICU experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric assessment and critical care principles
• Skill in administering IV medications and managing ventilators
• Comfort with monitoring equipment and technology
• Excellent communication with families and healthcare team
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with a calm demeanor
