Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Previous pediatric or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols
• Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and ventilator management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• A family-centered care approach
