Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across PCU, Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients with confidence
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to dysrhythmias
• Manage IV medications and drips (including insulin, heparin and diltiazem) following hospital protocols
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and reassess as needed each shift
• Conduct hourly rounding and timely pain, Braden and falls assessments to promote patient safety
• Handle admissions independently and deliver focused care in a small, rural unit
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and plan safe discharges
• Document care accurately and maintain required skills checklists and certifications

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Current American Heart Association BLS required
• Current American Heart Association ACLS required
• Minimum 3+ years combined PCU, Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience (telemetry experience required)
• Basic dysrhythmia competency documented in profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Skills checklists for Medical-Surgical, Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit current to within 1 year
• Previous travel experience and rural/small facility experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle and include permanent address in profile
• All requested time-off (RTO) and scheduling preferences must be included at submission

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active New Hampshire RN license or Compact (ADN or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Strong assessment skills across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric)
• IV medication and drip management expertise
• Ability to work independently in a small/rural hospital setting
• Good clinical prioritization and critical thinking under limited resources
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with telemetry documentation and EHR charting
• Comfort managing both rehab and acute patient populations
